The Real Spirit Of Ivy Style -

Well, for me at any rate -

http://jsimons.website.orange.co.uk/

Lots of nice new updates & features starting to happen here thanks to Big John Gall.

Style, wit and very knowing humour.
Nothing forced, false or manufactured.
The real McCoy of the style as it is in England.

One day we should produce an American version as rooted in reality as this.

Why not?

Re: The Real Spirit Of Ivy Style -

Without ever having thought about it in spiritual terms, I do keep coming back to the theme/concept of a 'working wardrobe' - one that's not too formal for casual wear, and just about formal enough without being stuffy to pass muster when those kind of clothes are required. It is, still, an egalitarian style. And there is enough scope for Prepp whimsy or UK subcultural signalling to keep it from getting monotonous.
Plus, like many others here, I love vintage clothing and its history - and that's a deep vein to mine.

Just my ramblings as a young player to the game...

Yet more great updates on the JS site today. The link is above.

For My Generation & location I have to say that John Gall is one of the most important stylists out there.

Not joking.
