Shooey, that device would also be useful to allow iGents to ascertain the variations in different cloth merchants' birds-eye cloth.

That is a very nice Dobsonian telescope, with a 30" mirror to boot!  He must be one serious hobbyist.

I think the gentleman in the last picture may be wearing rubber soled shoes though.. wink

blue on white ground tattersal dress shirt
RTW charcoal herringbone tweed with brown/tan overchecks
navy tie with red, yellow, blue and grey diagonal stripes (unlike many of you I do not know the derivation of these combinations, so I cannot say if it is one of those regimental ties or not -- the stripes run down from right to left)

Re: WHY are you wearing...?

Today:
- light blue BB OCBD, because it was nearest
- mid-grey cashmere crew-neck, because I'm in the process of upgrading some of my rattier knitwear
- slouchy cotton twill odd jacket, ventless and undarted, used to be beige but now dyed navy with sand-coloured suede elbow patches and natural-coloured buttons and contrast stitching everywhere. My sad idea of fun.
- in the tradition of the purest guild of iGents, a pocket square - actually a Maitai tie which turned out a bit too long and wide for my taste. Pale green with a repeating pattern of little pussy-cats holding whips smile
- yesterday's H&M raw denim jeans
- Clarks sand suede desert boots to match my elbows
