Re: Take Ivy: Anyone ever actually laid eyes on a copy?

Correct, Alex.  One has to be most careful about the hair, which means being regarded as a touch eccentric in the local salon.  Anyway, my wife loathes me with a Number 2.  Well graded now; seamless; but needs doing once every ten days or so.  I always know; it's like a nagging tooth.  Absolutely no boots - deserts or chukka excepted - no tonik or mohair.  Also, no Fred Perry, Baracuta or Arnold Palmer; definitely no Brutus or Ben Sherman (are you listening, Pablo?)  Instead, the essential look can be captured with a fly-fronted mac, jeans with a one inch turn-up, OCBD, crew neck jumper and hefty wingtips.  Back to the USAAF look!
It's difficult to shake or to shrug off roots - perhaps it's impossible - but I'm rather glad there are no existing photographs of me at 12 and 13!
