I do not know anything about the shoes, I am just re-posting the photos from that eBay seller. I've never heard of most of these styles. I agree Shooey, that these are damed solid footwear, maybe not as "pretty" as the iGent favored brands, but just damed solid British footwear (like one imagines should come from that country). It is too bad the prices here in North America are too high.
The Diplomat is easily my favorite model of Church's. Very classic. I like that loafer as well.
Mr. Shooman, how do you feel about the loafer here, given your general aversion to loafers? Would you make an exception?

I have a soft spot for the Grafton... It doesn't fit my foot that well though.
Church's was certainly a much-coveted shoe back in the day. I may be mistaken, but, I seem to recall learning that Church's was one of a small handful of manufacturers that either tanned their own leather or they had first rights to the best skins. Something like that. JM Weston was the other company. But, that was many years ago, even before the scandalous divorce erupted with the owner of Church's and his wife.
