Re: The Villagers are Circling..

For the longest time I had Cruiser on "ignore." I took him off, the better to comprehend the recent furor, and now I realize just what a colossal putz the guy is.

And tedious beyond belief. A real Johnny One-Note. His posts have the unpredictability of a North Korean election and the light touch of a German jazz band.

He is now back on ignore, along with the utterly harmless kitonbrioni.

Re: The Villagers are Circling..

Rather than putting Cruiser on Ignore, I relish his daily contributions as a welcome glimpse of the absurd; to water down the seriousness of the news.

There is not a subject that is posted that he isn't compelled to respond to with a dose of self absorbed obtuseness. Medwards has a thread today on grumpy old men that our boy just can't leave alone. The mental picture of him and his 60 year old friends tooling around on motor cycles, looking for young chicks is better than any situation comedy.

What is a classic is Cruiser attempting to match wits with Capt Preppy. He seems to have no idea that he is in way over his head.

Someone mentioned the impact of Gresham's Law that proved that bad money drives out good money in any economy. Cruiser presents an interesting dilemma to the brain trust at AA. They have let the 3/2 thread go on ad infinitum, because they are doomed no matter what they do. Shut it down, they look like idiots, let it run, same result.

What to do about the guy? They can't ban him as a troll, any more than they can ban "Howard". He's just a moron, and makes no attempt to hide it. A clever troll can sew disaster with an innocent smile on his face. This guy makes no attempt to be subtle.

Since his meds apparently don't work, this is his daily dose of therapy, and they must feel that they have got to let him run on. It does however, pose the problem for them, that no serious person viewing this train wreck will want to join in.

Re: The Villagers are Circling..

The Capts reference to dildoes reminded me that there are a couple of posts in the Interchange on Christmas by "Kav" that are a must.

The guy said that he had a new steel plate put in his head, but the results would seem to leave a lot to be desired.

This guy and Howard in the same thread could well be entitled "Clusterfuck, stay tuned."

Re: The Villagers are Circling..

All that and more, Tony. Where to start. In one thread, he told of his girlfriend camping in the woods in Calif when she was confronted by the infamous "trail side killer". Fortunately, she was armed with a .44 magnum. Not likely.

On another one, he was on duty with the shore patrol, and he encountered a guy in a gay bar on his knees in a compromising position. The guy happened to be a high school football star that bullied "Kav" during high school. Sure.

Back to Cruiser, I have been bothered wondering what the picture he posted in the polo shirt and jacket reminded me of. Now I know, it is what Tony Kornheiser would look like after a frontal lobotomy.

I have always loved Kav's stream-of-unconsciousness -- it's highly amusing, and I miss him.

That stuff by Kav is priceless. Even out of context it is perfectly comprehensible. If only Jamgood could come within a country mile of that. His stuff is perfectly incomprehensible even in context.

Re: The Villagers are Circling..

The year is nearing the end, and Cruiser is too far ahead at this point, but there appears to be a new contestant that may move up in the future, as a candidate for the coveted Anal Aperture of the Year Award.

Keep your eye on Hector Freemantle. The lad appears to have tremendous potential.
