It's a bit chilly.
I've put some socks on now - Blue ones. No shoes because I'm lying on the bed. This wireless thing is great fun. I've yet to see if my laptop will work on the lavvy...
yesterday, was on a sort of post-skinhead / proto-casual vibe
a red tartan 3 bd (old ben sherman, early 9ts, surprisingly nice colar roll)
navy lambswool v neck (pringle)
dark denim, but slightly worn bootcut jeans (diesel)
navy socks
black belt
old, black 8 hole air wairs with yellow laces
light-ish grey duffle coat ( an old gloverall)
red/burgundy/pale yellow/charcoal/pale gray/cream/what-have-you-saruman-of-many-colurs wool scarf
today, laying on my sofa, recovering, wearing the same shirt, untucked, sleeves rolled, old Incontinence pants trackie pnats + black socks. in an hour i'm about to leave home so i'll change the trckie pants to dark denims with turnups, keep the socks, put on black monkey boots, a dark brown lambswool crewneck + the same coat and scarf, off to oversee a photo-shoot of some produt packages + then fetch my kid from the nursery. back to sofa, trackie pants and recovery. hope so.

^ I love a popped collar me, strictly on outerwear though. Nice and easy emsemble Moose.
Very unseasonable, but I was in the mood:
Olive Poplin Sack, Brooks. Mid 80's, all the details.
Blue/White Candy Stripe OCBD, Press. 3 btn collar & flap pocket.
Unusual very, very dark Brown knit tie from Rowland's. It's like a Black that's Brown.
Cordo coloured belt & penny loafers - Canterbury and Sebago Caymans respectively (wearing the Is today not the IIs).
Almost Charcoal sox - M&S!

Band of Outsiders, looking good. The blue shirt really stands out in a good way.

- Woolrich Cord Chinos (Tan) from J. Simons - Just a perfect Ivy item.
- BD Baggies OCBD - '88 from 'Harrington' back when they did proper sizes and back when Harrington existed - Burgundy/White Candy stripe.
- Fruit of the Loom White T. today, also from John's.
- Black Sheep Shawl collar Cardigan thanks to Jesmond's tip off. Dark Grey - Which is actually a really interesting Brown. Collar popped! (looks really good this way, why don't more people pop their shawl Cardis?)
- Woven Cordo coloured Canterbury belt, John's again.
- Moss Green Burlingtons.
- Fairmount Cordovan Pennies - Better & better with each wear. Rue de Bac.

a muted colour theme today:
a white with small navy tattersall check bd (old bb)
charcoal lambswool crewneck (wolsey)
charcoal jacket, the same old finnish made one i've worn earlier on
sand cord jeans, slightly bootcut (no name off high st, but great)
charcoal socks
oxblood wingtips (vintage ds bostonians)
matching belt
gray duffle coat (an old gloverall)
multi-striped lambswool scarf (see my former post)
on monday, latest, i'll try a similar combo but with a bright red v neck slipover instead of the charcoal crew. i think it might work.
Where exactly was "Harrington" - I think I might have bought Weejuns there in the mid/late 80s. Was it the place that carried French denim brands etc, Soho area?
Thursday - to Norwich Jazz and Blues Record Club to give talk on Hip Dudes and Other Cats. Freddie FreeLoader and Filthy McNasty should give you the idea.

BB argyle socks, green/maroon/blue.
Alan McAfee tobacco suede wingtips.
LLB warmup jacket.
Georg Jensen chronograph on black leather strap.
Boxful of cds.
Friday - to London to score new glasses frames (Operaopera, Covent Garden) and shoes ( Alfred Sergeant tasselled loafers from John Rushton)
BB 3/2 camelhair sack, patch and flap pockets.
BB blue tab-collar shirt.
Knitted silk tie, black, Hilditch and Key.
Grey wool trousers, cuffed, two pleats, M and S.
Black lizardskin belt with stainless steel buckle, bought in Sicily in early 70s.
BB argyle socks, dark blue/light blue/grey.
Alan McAfee black capped oxfords, lightly brogued.
Grenfell single-breasted, fly-fronted raincoat from Cordings. Shot green.
Burberry`s cashmere scarf, yellow. Bought for an uncle many years ago and subsequently inherited.
Handmade black leather wool lined gloves bought in Rome in early 70s
Raymond Weil Cartier Tank lookalike on black crocodile strap.
Today - revert to slob with jeans, t-shirt, slippers, unshaven
^ Top!
Good lad for shaving on a Saturday too.

It's parky out.

I was eyeing that cardigan Uncle Russ, would you say it's slim, slouchy or true to size?
True to size, but jacket length in the body which is something I'm getting used to. Shorter might be better.
They're very warm, very thick & very well made. Proper leather 'football' buttons with a spare inside and a lovely depth to the shawl collar at the back.
Just for the warmth and the weight of the wool I'd say that they were an absolute bargain at £90. My thanks to Jesmond.
Best -
Edit: I should say that I bought the Medium & I am near perfect in an English 38R.

Those Stetson caps are terrific. The "made in Germany" ones, seemingly unavailable in the US. They have a line called "Stetson Modern" here that doesn't seem to be quite as nice.
