Then you need to buy enough shoes to last you a lifetime without having to resole, don't you?

A suggestion:
365 x 3 = 1095 pairs of Vass
365 pairs of JM Westons
356 pairs of EGs
365 pairs of John Lobbs

That ought to do it. Don't forget to post pics.

I worry about this as well.  I took a pair of boots in to be repaired (they had an apron front and some of the stitching was coming away from the corner seam) and the cobbler did an awful, terrible job.  Its almost as if the tradesmen in existence already aren't even very skilled..
