I'm with ya FNB I'd love a pair of EGs but swinging a thousand bucks plus on a pair of shoes would result in my untimely death at the hands of the spouse right now.
Maybe if my company closes that round of financing and I have a salary!
I was hoping there'd be some allen-edmonds chelseas or sommat but no such luck. ah well!
I like the look of RM Williams boots. There was a previous thread on them here. I've no experience with them, but dig the black or dark brown with the lighter brown elastic. Should I get a pair of boots, this will probably be the pair I get.
Burke, those "to boot" shoes are quite hip, I think theyre also not very aesthetically pleasing.
Maybe Moreschi has something? They are reputed to be as comfortable as Edward Green shoes and are less expensive. They have a lot more shoes in their shop. http://www.moreschishoes.com/stylefinder.asp
www.timlittle.com is having a sale where their "roberta" is only 180 pounds (I think that's with VAT!) That's the model I have and they may be right for you. They only have one width and that fits my EEE feet with thin socks. They also tend to run true to your foot size. I wear an 11F from EG but a 10 from tim little. Theyre very helpful,if you call them and describe your foot or send them a trace of your foot bottom by fax, theyll be able to help you.
