All,
I just read (belatedly) the Paris Custom Shirt essay and it got me thinking about horizontal striped shirts. Ever since the essay first appeared on AAC, I got to thinking of getting such a shirt for myself. I think I have finally identified the shirtmaker here in the UK who will be able to make such a shirt for me.
FNB, if it's OK with you, I would be really grateful if you could post those pictures of you in a solid blue tie and blue horizontally striped shirts on this forum. Those pictures were originally posted on AAC, the "Nino Corvato Bench" thread I think. I printed off those pictures for future reference and I can no longer find them.
What do you all think of this type of shirts? Negative or positive opinions welcome. Do you have any pictures? What sort of fabrics/mills would be best for such a shirt.
Have a great weekend,
Bolaji
To me, it's too conspicuous to wear for some business occasions but a useful shirt for evenings.
It’s for people with gonnections and human molar cufflinks.
