Do you like silks scarves for men ?
If so, when and how would you wear one ?
Silk scarves are without doubt the perfect accesory for some light bondage-so I vote yes
I agree abt the ol' ponce element, but: try 1 side silk paisley; 1 side solid (finer) wool (IGentry may go with Cashmere). Will: feel free to lift this post.
Love a scarf, silk, sea island cotton, cordrouy...love em all. I like to wear a silk scarf under a mac or jacket, not much cop at keeping my neck warm but looks good IMO. Current fave a Paul Smith job from a couple of years ago.
I will wear one (typically a solid, like burgundy or navy) under a leather coat to protect the collar from skin oils when the weather does not call for a wool scarf. I would also consider a solid one-side/paisley or neats the other-side if I could find one.
When and how would you wear a SILK scarf ?
I mean if you wear a hat, it means it is rather cold and if it is cold, silk seems too light.
So silk scarves appears to me like a acessory for pure decor, hanging over a suit to look more stylish.
I have never been in Canada
I don't see what does the place change though
If silk is enough for Canada, what would you wear in France?
Where would you wear cashmere then ?
David - thanks. I had not discovered this page on your site yet.
Ernesto,
I call a normal condition anything short of a good old-fashioned snow storm.
In some ways the eastern part of Canada and America is even colder than Colorado as the climate is dry and cold in Colorado. I can't explain what i mean by dryer when it still snows but it is true.
For what it's worth, I think silk scarves are great. I have a lovely Paul Stuart dble face silk / cashmere that I got this Xmas, and I really like it. The one I'm lusting after the most right now is the Drakes of London dble face large / small dots printed on silk. I think it looks very smart.
There's a series of shops here in Paris called Arthur & Fox and they have a large, heavy silk square with white dots woven on navy that is superb, currently 130 Euros down from 180. Still an expensive luxury.
