Is Vass the ultimate forum mania brand? I was told they were known for ladies shoes especially for elderly ones who needed good foot support. What exactly is the fascination with these shoes, the construction? Being well made and providing value for money can hardly offset many of their more curious foibles for the western workplace Maybe one would cut a dashing figure in them at a Hungarian law firm but theyre mostly too clunky here in the States. Maybe with jeans or cords.

I think people like Vass shoes because for a reasonable amount of money you get a very well made MTO pair of shoes. I don't really understand the criticism of their clunkiness. The F and U lasts look great and some even think that the U last is too "pointy".

l'll talk more about them when my new ones arrive (F last). They have a slightly higher toebox than the English stuff which is perfect for my feet. The MTO is a very attractive option. No plastic toe puff likes the Church's; this is a big deal to me. Very fine durable leather and a really good construction (tight and carefully done) makes this shoo a bargain.
The R last look pretty English too.
