To answer the original question: the answer is "NO".
And trads do definitely use arm chairs, at this point in life comfort may be the only issue. But deep downey arm chairs, repros or not, are a definite accessory.
I had no idea they were so popular. I bought mine at a fishing store some years ago, and have never worn it unless I was salmon fishing. I guess I have a new old piece of cool clothing.

Are they really that pretentious? I think with the exchange rate, I might buy myself another one in a chic color.
A clean new wax cotton jacket is very faux. A clean new Barbour doubly so.
For dirt they are unbeatable, if heavy and cold. Horses, dogs, fish, entrails of small animals, motorbikes. That is what they are for, as much as gloves are there to keep your hands warm.
Brush a few yellow cabs with it and sleep under the bridge for a couple of nights and it will look and smell right.
What colour were you contemplating, FNB? I always liked them in navy, and in horsey brown.
I just got a new Barbour Beaufort. I wear it when spitting on my valet.
