What pens do you have ?

I have about 15 high end pens.

My favorites are from DUNHILL :

1) AD2000 fountain pen in carbon fiber = an amazing pen that cost only 910 euros, material looks very funny and is sturdier tha steel, nib is smooth and writes perfectly, ink flow very well

2) Sidecar seashell fountain pen = a nice pen with very smooth nib that costs about 450 euros, feels very well made

3) Sentryman roller ball in metal = a fency pen that costs 510 euros and has an original shape

4) Sidecar revolette in black resine = very funny pen, a very heavy bic that costs 610 euros and hides a secret in his stomach : one black ball point, one red ball point and a pencil.

I advice them to anyone who loves pens.

I also have a few Montegrappas (not bad, silver has a special shine that is different from steel) and Omas (too fragile)

What pens do you have ? What are you favorite pens ?

What do you think about Dunhill pens ?

That seems alot of money to pay for pens Ernest. Care to post some pictures.

My pens are generally vintage `papermate' (probably around 50 years old). l'd like some really top ones but i'd probably end up losing them.

Omas is too fragile, eh? Which one are you using?

I have, in no particular order:

Omas Paragon w/14k extra-fine, extra-flex nib (daily user for 10+ years)
Omas Celluloid Paragon (Arco) w/ custom nib
Namiki Emperor
Namiki Vanishing Point
Parker Duofold Centennial, orange needlepoint nib w/matching pencil
Parker Duofold Centennial, pearl & black fine oblique nib
Pelikan M800 green demonstrator
Montblanc Agatha Christie
Montblanc Oscar Wilde
Montblanc 144 sterling pinstripe
Bexley white button filler
Various vintage pens too numerous to list.

Re: What pens do you have ?

I love Omas ink.  I got a bottle of their India blue -- don't recall the exact name for the color -- but it was issued in 2000.  And it's a great color.

I've got an ol' Mont Blanc (gift), a waterman I think, an antique from a Boston shop given to me years ago.  The waterman was sent into Waterman and never repaired right.  Still doesn't work right.

I think I've got a parker rollerball somewhere.

I'm using a Staedtler (sp?) .03mm throw-aways that I really like.

I'm not a pen collector.  I just have a Pelikan Souvran M800 in the usual green stripes for daily use.

Parker Jotter in stainless steel. Astonishingly low price for such a well-made and bulletproof pen.

Re: What pens do you have ?

I recently picked up a vintage Parker Cisele (the one w/ the grid pattern) off of E-bay. I mainly use a few wooden ball-points (w/ Cross refills) that my Dad made me (the wood looks particularly sharp).

I have to admit that my personal favorite for writing has been the Pilot Dr. Grip. The rollerball ink is amazing (particularly in the fine-point). Too bad the pen itself is such shit. I've had two over the last six years that I  like Dr. Quinn medicine woman nursed alive for a few years beyond their normal life expectancy.

Moose, I agree on the jotters. A great everyday pen.

Nothing very special: a Waterman at home and a Parker at work -- I don't know the models, though the Parker is very heavy. They are just "twist-open" ballpoints.
