I'm thinking ahead to when we make "Ivy: The Movie"...
A PM chum has suggested this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDldNjabgpM
... But I'm not keen. Surely that song is about VD?
Ugh!
Anybody with any other ideas?
We should have a song after all. Just like Pompey...

*Ahem*
OK - That was a bad idea.
Just ignore me.

"Scotch and Soda" by the Kingston Trio would be my choice.
... Springtime for Ivy & FNB -
Winter for those less informed.
We're posting at a faster pace -
Look out here comes the master race...
Oy!
Have a good Monday, Chaps.
Best,
Jim
Interesting thread. How about a theme that combines a great lyric, great melody, and recollections of McQueen in his 3 piece Ivy best.
The original Thomas Crown Affair, was classic McQueen, and the three piece suits were superb.
It isn't possible to hum "The Windmills of your Mind" without thinking happy "Ivy" thoughts.
If we're talking McQeen:

Talk Ivy: It ain't nothing but a house party these days!
My thanks to all our fantastic posters.
Best -

Sung to a well know popular 60's TV series/band theme tune.....
Here we come
Walking down the street
Get the funniest looks from
Everyone we meet
Hey hey we're the ivy's
And people say we ivy around
But we're to busy preening
To notice anyone around
If it's mid week, early morning and mellow the soundtrack to my Ivy thoughts would be Bobby Hutcheson's "Oblique". A walk in the park, my girlfriend, a double machiato and raincoat collar popped. The weekend, the sound of the city, evening traffic, polished wingtips, whiskey and that feeling of defiant cool then it's got to be Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers "Free For All" playing in my mind. And Hank Mobley's "Up a Step" from the "No Room for Squares" album would run a close second.
