I always thought Gene Pitney looked good in the 60's, and Wagner wore some cool stuff too but hard to find some good pics of him.gonna have to dig deeper.

Re: Ivy, therefore I am

^ Yes thats right. I have the original LP cover on the wall in my office at work. I wish I could find a bigger pic of it to post on here as its a great shot, taken by Don Bronstein.

His jkt looks to me to have lapels of around 2 3/4'' so not super slim as came in. It also has a throat latch a la hunting tweeds style. Yes a nice high 3 button roll, red and what looks like blue/gold striped tie and white BD. What looks like a looseish ( but still slimish) fit trouser (sans cuffs) and Black loafers.........MMMm Nice!

Cool pic.....same outfit as in the pic I posted above, but can be seen a lot better in the pic you've posted. Gene could be a cool looking dude, not too sure about Dusty though!!!

Re: Ivy, therefore I am

Dusty in Memphis is brilliant! What's there to hate? Even the '60s singles are solid.

edited for a really stupid grammar mistake.

She does look a tad haggish in that pic, I admit.

Re: Ivy, therefore I am

Yeah, I agree on her appearance. Gene's jacket is great, isn't it? Does anyone wear knit shirts like his? It's quite nice too, me thinks.

They're definitely both melodrama heavy-hitters. I'm fanatical about anything coming out of Memphis, a city I have much love for on a lot of levels (everyone should eat cat fish po'boys once in his life), which includes the standout music on Dusty's album.

Re: Ivy, therefore I am

Fried catfish w/ tomato and lettuce on a fresh Louisiana roll. Po'boys are essentially fried anything on a roll. I've seen 'em with shrimp too. Last time I was in Memphis, I also had catfish w/ a "meat and three" (fried catfish and choice of three vegetables). Highly recommended (perhaps not if you're worried about your cholesterol).
