Seems to me that you've pretty got it, RS.

The look on Evans face says a lot. Something like; "This is who I am. Take it or leave it."

Seems like true Ivy has had that philosophy from the beginning. Maybe, "This is who I am. I really hope that it works for you. If not, please understand that I don't have plans to change a lot."

In my good moments I feel style is like love, it's kind, tolerant, and doesn't need affirmation. The next day I'm all cocky and "we're holding the crown here, 'the fuck do they know?"
Usually depends on whether or not I had a good dump.

And this is actually a purism without snobbery. It's only the would-be snobs that we're snobbish about.

How about this (And I've posted it before I know):  http://www1.landsend.co.uk/pp/StylePage-337462_FB.html?mdiv=wl&cgrfnbr=96066

Go for the Chamois like I did & be happy.

- Bags of Classic American Style. Good price to quality ratio too. A perfect Ivy item for today.

Let's have OUR style back after all the internet stuff, eh? Keeping it pure just means keeping it real.

Best -

I'm with Moose; smalls please.

Sometimes I feel discriminated against. I was in this shop recently which stocked mediums as their smallest, and asked if there was a possibility they'd be selling smaller sizes in the future. The lady went "we don't get many men of your posture here" (I thought "no wonder"), and continued "besides, most of our customers are a bit older than you". I looked the middle aged looking tart straight in the eyes and said "I bet I'm older than you". Which turned out to be true.  Oh well, looking younger than your age is the holy grail for most, I guess.

Must be the necessity of cutting down on inventory, and the average shape of the American male today. LE carries fewer small sizes, likewise Ben Silver, and a lot of good merchants like Murray's of Nantucket.

Still a lot of good sources, however. OCLS usually has smaller stuff, as does LLB, and others. Just like other true Ivy gear. You just have to look a bit harder.

There was a post on AA by a guy that recommended Southern Tide polo shirts. The ones that just arrived seem to be of excellent quality, and size small fits  small and skinny, to a T.

Average tie length has always been too long for a short guy. Many don't realize this, and have a tie hanging to mid fly length. The obvious answer is to get Sam Hober to make one that is the exact length. OTOH, BB has a few good reps in the Boy's site, that are about right. Selection includes Argyle & Sutherland, BB #1, and some good generic reps.
