Re: Ivy League style for today

I think I know what you're getting at Prof. Been feeling that way myself. But what the heck - can't say I'm not digging it!
Half term so off soon for a little kick about with my son with the promise of a coffee from the new cafe at the end of the session (I'll probably last about 10 minutes!)

Ancient White Fred Perry
Blue cashmere V neck
60's navy Campus windcheater
Honey tan Levi 505 cords (asking for grass stains)
Blue/white stripe woven cloth belt
Black leather/White shell toe Tretorn Sneakers (good ol' TK Maxx)
sockless - in a reckless "I don't care about the weather" sort of way. Bound to regret this move.

Tom, good to see you again, and another brilliant watch. The face shows no wear at all. I really like the font of the numbers. In fact, that is usually what I like best about the vintage watches. The slight angle Hamilton used for its "Thin-O-Matics" or the brief "Tissot" 60s script or even the numbers on the 60s Marlins are all beautiful.

On a side note, Tom there was a post a little while ago on this forum about bespoke/mtm ivy tailors and CHIPP came up. If memory serves me right, there is a post of yours over at the AATC where you said you were going to get them to make you one. Did you? How did it turn out?

edited for grammar

Re: Ivy League style for today

D&F- most of my clothes that aren't vintage are made by Winston Tailors (CHIPP). A few examples are the shetland sport coats and navy blue suit I posted somewhat recently.  They do brilliant work at a reasonable price. I highly recommend them.

Agreed on the fonts on vintage watches, my favorite part as well.

All blue with brown shoes, all top ranking, well fitting, down beat items... I love it.
I have no experience with the Sugar Cane denim but the 1947 cut is the one to have. Strong work Tom.

^definitely.

tom, you're the man whether all suited and booted or casual gear. just great. come next spring, i'll dig my navy blue carhartt jacket (quite like the detroit but for summer use, no lining etc) and wear it the first time in ten years!

mine today:
a blue end on end bd (brooks bros)
a burgundy / black w. thin pale yellow and pale blue stripes repp tie off a charity shop
a choc brown / mustard striped tweed sack jacket (hastings of chicago, my big thanks for this one go to mr. chris h., i bought the jacket off him the other week!! cheers!)
beige slim cut chinos
burgundy socks
brown sanders hi tops
matching canvas belt
beige wool scarf
black crombie - still in search of a raglan-sleeved overcoat.. been in vain so far.
off white newsboy cap
bad attitude
hunger
addiction for bad coffee
boredom of work albeit not of life

well, for once in my life i'd REALLY like to have a pic taken of me.. doesn't happen every so often.
