Pretty nice stuff.  I believe that they share a showroom with the Neapolitan tailor that Marc G. mentioned travels to NY a lot and a shirtmaker that seems average or below.  They are in the main square of the shopping district (Piazza Martiri).  Some of the ties are really beautiful, and some border on Stefano Ricci oddness.  Bespoke is available as well as many different constructions.

Nice cleavage on that lady.  A reminder that Italy doesnt simply produce lovely ties.

I believe it is Lombardi.  I could be very wrong, but his shirts looked more factory than artisan to me.

Interesting... I wouldn't be surprised if so; the fabrics and pearl buttons were top notch and stood out so maybe that explains why I got an overall good impression.

Re: Ulturale Cravatte Napoli

Maybe it was the overall impression that I got at PrimoPiano.  The feeling was a step closer to Borrelli/Attolini etc.  It may have been the surroundings and not the quality of the work.

In Naples I have only used Solito and Rubinacci.  My experiences with Rubinacci have been stellar (for several years) and my experience with Solito was less good.  He is a very nice man, but his styling leaves something to be desired.

Re: Ulturale Cravatte Napoli

I have not.  I looked for Cappelli a few years ago and could not even find the street.  Such is Naples.

It is hard for me ot abandon Rubinacci.  I like Gennarro (the cutter) very much, they have my pattern set and the work is of the highest caleber (IMO, I would love to hear yours).  Unfortunately, the prices are also of an extremely high caliber.

I perfectly understand smile Formosa, Cappelli, and Aprea don't even have a street front; their shops are hidden in the inner courtyard/garage of an old building. Your only clue would be to read the tiny labels on the intercom, but only their last names are written smile
