Shooey : sorry to see that sole blemished, but the longer you left them unworn, the harder it would get to ever wear em'. Too bad they don't make shoes with that huge triangular cleat in them anymore, looks very functional, which is how I like shoes to look..

Biggest problem with the old lmperials (all leather heals) is that they use steal nails instead of brass nails. Steal nails cause slippage because the leather wears down before the metal. Brass nails (yellow metal) wear down at the same rate as the leather, so there is no slippage.
The Florsheim leather is very ordinary (uppers and soles).
