the record covers thread

Reading Russell_Street's article at JS and seeing HBH's Horace Silver Quartet post 1966's Don Wilkerson post has led to believe that we need a thread strictly of record sleeves.

We all clearly love music so much and these covers are really ground zero for the kind of ivy we're on about. So I ask that you please start posting. I'll start contributing later I promise but if anyone already uploaded some album covers up in their image-hosting accounts, please post the .urls. This will be the thread with soul that feeds the soul.

Best.

Not quite a cover, but Long Tall Dexter in a half-sleeve BD:

Re: the record covers thread

I bought a trenchcoat down Petticoat Lane on the strength of this & a couple of Dexter sleeves (Dexter Calling, Doing Alright):

I wear it in one of those JS shots.

Made in Poland it was. Top style!

I had a suit cut on the strength of this:

I wear it in the other JS pic of me as a kid. Colin Wilde, Newburgh Street, Soho, W1.

If we are talking about pre-hippy US clothing then this Isley Brothers LP is top notch 'Jack the Lad'.

No tweed or bow ties. This is all about entertainment not academia.

Plenty of cuff. Nice lairy colours on the suits too. Tasty.

Re: the record covers thread

I always cherished this Four Tops EP too.

Great knitwear - a bit Sopranos, but not at all in a British style. Great shiney trahseez with no break that may possibly be mohair.
