I Miss ol' 'Arry

Reading all the crap everywhere, I long for what seems increasingly to be the only authentic voice of old school New England Togs.

If the back story was invented, there was the kernel of the truth.

Perhaps in his inauthenticity he was never so authentic?

Here,, here!

Twas thinking just the same thing a bit ago.  Perchance due to ol Russells and D&F's excellent back and forth.

Bring back ol Harry (or Trip Bradford,, or Chauncey, Thatcher, or Anderson).

We could keep 'im on the right story here.  And ol TV wouldnt let the lad take credit for everyone elses ideas.

Cheerio.

Or maybe it was always bullshit, and we should just buy some nice quality clothing and wear it, with an eye to avoiding clashing colors and pattersn. Just clothes, really. Even Boyer seems to have missed that. The cultural significance connection is probably over-played.

Re: I Miss ol' 'Arry

All we need is for people to be able write on this subject without all that posing BS.

Harris could do it if he wanted to & so could Chensvold...

- Boys, listen - We KNOW that you're not Ivy experts so cut all the shit. Write like a mensch & we'll treat you with respect. Write as you do and we'll call you a hoho to your face until the end of time.

What's so hard to do?

Harris just has to write as an enthusiastic fan & Chensvold needs to write as an enthusiastic newbie.

I've got respect for both those positions.
