Atkinsons Royal Irish Poplin Neckties

I love these ties:

Theyre great because they go with everything! Tweed, flannel and cashmere are perfect mates for the tie, which brings out the woolen content with just a bit of textural relief provided by the sheen of the silk.

In summer, the ties look brilliant with tropical finished worsteds, mohairs, cottons and linen suits.

They go well with mid range worsteds too.

Colors have a crayola crayon richness to them which is quite appealing. Unfortunately, though they are robust from a handling point of view and spring back into shape well, they will soil permanently from ink and grease.

A very versatile classic.

So do I.

Mulberrywood has almost said he'll stock fabric for bespoke versions next spring. Add your voices, so he knows the demand is there.

We, and probably dozens of others, discussed grenadine and two months later he had thirty choices. Unfortunately, Irish poplin came up too late for summer, but he sounded positive.

I'm in for a couple for Fall, David. Hint, hint.

Film Noir Buff,

Thank you very much for the ideas.

My thoughts are wandering towards some solids and classic stripes.

As a side note, some time back I remember hearing that writers (and maybe all artists) did not pay income taxes in Ireland. What a wonderful way to support the arts. I hope that they still have this policy.
