Classic. A couple of days ago I set up Twitter so that I could post some incidental comments etc on my blog. I posted some images from 1941 of LL Bean classics on the TheWeejun.co this evening and within an hour I got the message. LL Bean PR dept is following you on Twitter.
I made some comments about Bean being all mumsy (to quote Alfie) and so maybe they might send me something classic to 'review'
At least they're trying....
Who'd have thought?
I'm still interested in "Ivy-Style" on Facebook - Are there really Ivy fans there?
Weejun, when Tucker re-started his blog (http://tuckerredux.blogspot.com/), he did a great post (he's not keeping past entries for some reason so you can't find it now) on who exactly was following his old one. It seems he was getting a lot of hits from fashion sites, such as J Crew. He noted that a pair of sunglasses he had blogged about popped up in two catalogues soon after with very similar descriptions to the one he used. Be forewarned--LL Bean is following you!
Maybe they're just collecting info to begin legal proceedings...
Yes maybe you're right Tony. The case against me is overwhelming. I definitely described the ole' Bean as 'mumsy', it's a fair cop, guv'nor
I thought I'd write a post on the Weejun that's been in the back of my mind for some time, about the demise (decline and fall?) of LL Bean into a Gap like mire of blurgh.
I know Russell you posted a while back saying in the 50s it wasnt the 30s , but I was curious to see if I posted this story and if Bean really do bother to watch the blog world whether they react to it in any way.
Double L Flannel shirts in collar sizes again would be enough...
