I quite like the color tone of the overcoat, looks rather lovely in feel.
As for California winters, it's a pity that it never becomes cold enough to wear certain pieces of winterwear that I think are elegant.

I like the style of that overcoat very much too, it's the kind I often call a Sherlock Holmes coat thinking of Basil Rathbone in the '40's. Nice cuff detailing.

I know the weather never gets anything like as severe on that part of the West coast as it does on the East Coast 'New England' side, yet Cable Car Clothiers aren't too far away with their Scottish import Shetlands and Harris Tweeds - So somebody must buy them...
What would be 'Trad' for the West Coast (Using the word to mean Classic American)?

This seems appropriate in Northern California. You wouldn't get many chances to wear it in LA, however.
