in case you missed it -- LL Bean factory overload

Drinkin' & Dronin' posted that LL Bean sent some bloggers on a field trip. This is all starting to sound like those movie critic junkets. The photos of old banged-up Bean boots are worth checking out (does this qualify as factory photo/boot porn?):

"I like bars just after they open in the evening. When the air inside is still cool and clean and everything is shiny. The first quiet drink of the evening in a quiet bar-that's wonderful."

Why do they even bother to fix those boots? They're so cheap & low-end it seems foolish.

I got a laugh out of the comments on the red shirt: No it hasn't survived a hundred years of wear, it's falling apart. Old shit is only good if it's still in good condition. Old shit that's falling apart is old shit that's falling apart. Let's be honest.
