I'm a fan of Barbour, it'd be nice to see them make a wider range of gear (which they're now doing with polos, buttondowns and sweaters)

Britprep....heh, surprised no one coined that term much earlier.  Seems a lot of brands would fit under that umbrella

Re: BritPrep?

there is a sort of british take on the 80s preppy look though.
it's all jack wills/aubin and wills/hollister etc. etc. with popped collars and gillets and shaggy hair.

i don't hate it - some of my friends wear it and i sometimes on a very very hot day pop my collar. but only sometimes.

hip people and morons in baggy jeans hate it.

Re: BritPrep?

At least one crusty sock under your dorm mattress-used for masturbating into- saves having to wipe your spent seed from your stomach.

School ties worn back to front so the thin end shows and the wider end is tucked away in ones shirt.

Previously white shirts a dingy greyish colour as a result of the school laundry washing them with eveything and anything else that required laundering -no matter the laundering instructions or required wash temperatures.

^ Now that's a really acute observation Re: The old school tie.

Some boys humped their pillows & then swapped them with the pillows of dweebs in the morning.

All of this finally tempts me for the first time to get back in touch with the ol' alumni association to find out who's doing what now.

Oh the fun of unmasking heads of industry as chronic masturbators online!

wink

Re: BritPrep?

Pubic hair your own and others -found everywhere in the dorm bathrooms or dorm itself-on the floorboards -on towels -in sinks- on the linoleum-on blankets and sheets-my god you could barely walk through the dorm with out collecting the shedded pubic hair of at least 20 adolescent boys on the soles of your shoes.

Hurrying your parents to get you back to school as early as possible the day before term started -to try and get the least piss and spunk stained mattress from the mattress store.

Re: BritPrep?

Everyone had bad breath-the jolly jape at my school was to try and piss on as many of the other boys toothbrush bristles as possible -if there was a boy you really disliked - you would run his toothbrush bristles up the crack of your arse.

Re: BritPrep?

Knives -forks -plates and bowls still having remnants of food present because the domestic staff-didn`t give a shit -having to peel the night before dried on cabbage from your fork prior to eating breakfast really is one of the pleasures of British boarding schools.
