Drinkin' and Dronin' calls them Mocs. Can't say I really know the difference. Anyway, definitely worth a look:

Nice shoes D&F.
Blucher just means that the laces are open at the bottom (unlike say Sperry Stripers that lace to the vamp and are therfore Oxfords). These Yuketen are also moccasin construction which simply means that the leather wraps around the foot underneath and then has a separate vamp sewn on top - rather like a pie!
That's why all UK made loafers are NOT true moccasins because we have 'lost' (read too expensive) the skills for handsewing moccs. Those companies that do offer true mocs will have them made in Italy, Spain, India etc where they still have the tradition.

tidy!
Don't forget Russell Moccasin in Wisconsin will make to measure for less than these cost...
^ And they make them in any configuration of materials you like. You can find some wild made to order examples on Rakuten Japan.
Am planning a return trip to Tokyo later this year. Last time was in 2003 and I spent £1500 on jazz and brasilian reissue CDs - I felt sick like I'd eaten too many sweets afterwards. I don't think I've bought more than 4 or 5 CDs since. The whole experience cured me.
This time around I've kicked the CD/LP habit but it'll be clothes and shoes again, I can feel it.
^ Haha. Kid in the candy store eh?
I'm planning on going there myself, I can probably finance it by selling all my shoes and chairs that don't fit or fit in first.
Yes I and find the same thing with clothes, especially in a world where it's hard to find the Look, when you find any item, anywhere, you just have to buy it.
I'm sure I'm not alone in the fact that seasons have no affect whatsoever on my purchases?
If I see heavy shoes in summer or boat shoes in winter, it's all good. It's not like they are going to go out of fashion by this time next year (or the year after , or the year after that....)
With music though running a record label reissuing stupidly rare things cured me to a large degree. The thrill of the chase and hunt (and kill) was in tracking down some obscure Brasilian drummer's fourth wife living god knows where and with a box of master tapes in her closet and wish to for them to see the life of day. Very satisfying.
The man of Yuketen wearing a, apron and ponytail, which I spoke did not, know much of shoe , construction but wished to, seem a cobbler .
