Quite a 'Minet' influence going on this season. Coincidence I'm sure.
Are the Shetlands by a new maker? The necks look different to me. Better.
I especially like the perfect dark Green. Better than Andover's current Greens IMHO. I must email Mr. Wilder with my credit card in due course.
As ever I'll be sticking to the more 'Traditional' offerings, but as ever I like seeing what misterman does.
No sign of Brooks plans yet... I'm sadly lacking in hope though...
Anybody else wish to talk Press?
My door is always open -
Miles.
I can see what's happening with the Troy shirts...
They're not for me but it's good to have the name back out there. Maybe in time the uber-soft roll BD could be revived too, you never know.
No more cable Shetlands? Why not add saddle-shouldered Shets instead? Have the plain for $110 & pop out the Saddle for a few bucks more?
Would Press ever do a Slack Jacket? Maybe start it as a Spring/Summer option? Then in time add a Fall/Winter Herringbone?
Who else is going to do these things?
Not Brooks for a good long time, if ever.
Eljo's & O'Connells are too small (That's the point of them & why they have such charm). Cable Car COULD if they wanted. Ditto Silver...
Otherwise it's Press or J.Simons in London as usual.
I'm warming to Andover more & more tho'... Shirts & Shets especially.
I'm up in Scotland soon & will try to sort out the Shetland problem. There MUST be little shops piled high with basic Shetlands. Odd that something so simple is so hard to find. Life!

Wasn't too impressed with the shoes in the catalog. At least as pictured. But what the heck, good luck to them. I don't recall seeing a nice tan cord jacket being pictured either. It's always been a standard. I think Mr. Man's done some interesting stuff -- I just hope he doesn't get carried away and try to "sex" up the "brand".

I stopped in on SteedAppeal at Press yesterday and picked up the catalog. Havent had the chance to inspect it but I liked the micro skull and crossbones ties in the store.
I hadn't noticed it before, but Press has some new school boy mufflers.

named after the Press family. Mr. Man's old school homage with the new school twist?
edit: less successful, I think, are these glass or plastic bead type of things for cufflinks. Oh my:

I haven't been particularly impressed by Press' new 'designer'. I just don't think it is much added value. But maybe they are eyeing a customer who has not patronized the shop since the late 1960s.
