Great stuff folks.
Tom, that background makes me want to go to NYC. I can almost sense the place from the picture. I've only been there once and it has left me with a feeling I can only describe as "homesick".
Lots of beautiful cities, to be sure. In my travels none has ever matched the energy and urgency of NYC. This was more true in my youth, before the great homogenization of the mid 1990s. Yet with the implosion of the NY economy one can start to see some signs that grittiness is once again creeping back in.
black bass weejuns
gray socks
landsend plain front cuffed khakis
brooks blue oxford cloth buttondown
brooks navy wool sweater vest
no name olive poplin sport coat (not a sack unfort)
Levis (Knackered 10 year old Japanese USA made 501 1955 selvedge model with holes in that need patching)
Burgundy full length socks Standa (italian low level dept store owned by Berlusconi)
15 year old LL Bean gray marl t shirt
Navy blue crew neck ribbed jumper (Bologna market 2 for 10 Euros)
1981 vintage 'Antique Brown' Bass Weejuns (n734 with the plastic plugs in heel - just turned up in the post - no colour hack needed here!)
Hand made 60s model reading glasses commissioned in Beijing last year (working at home and the old eyesight is going - maybe from scrolling through tens of thousands of Ebay thumbnails?)
^ 1955 Levi's are nice. I'm wearing a brand new LVC pair, indigo under the fingernails and all.
Paired with:
White T
Chambray work shirt
Mid grey lambswool crew
Thick red ribbed socks
Brown leather Wallabees
Dress Stewart tartan muffler
Single breasted pea coat
Crumpled up beige cotton bucket hat sticking out of the pocket
^ As soon as I got the '55s I recklessly put them in the washing machine, I just can't wear them raw.
I had the same fitting issue with the '44s so I sold my worn pair - for more than I paid

Cheers folks...
Weejun - that's a Sir Pendleton worsted wool button down.
^ It's probably an exotic leather, The Weejun told me it might be Elephant Ear.
Russell Moccasin offer the service of making their shoes in any game hides one might have lying around.
