That's awful, those shoes look nothing like what you ordered! Even the color seems washed out. That said, they are still beautiful shoes that I would not throw out of bed for eating oreos.. The quality control does seem a little lax on those, but I have received C&J Handgrades that have the same issues, particularly the dark brown streaking near the seams. It drives me crazy, but I usually just grit my teeth and accept it.. That divot on the front of the shoe is unfortunate though, but I wonder if through time and wear, it will smooth out? Probably not, but one can always hope.. I think the 60% discount is a fair way of compensating you for your trouble, but with the quality problems and f*cked up order, some may have just refunded your money to keep you as a customer..
In any case, good luck with the next order. Nice shoes by the way.
The more I look at those, the more I like them.. In some of the pictures you took near the bottom of your post, the minor flaws are not even apparent, and the shoes look beautiful.. Still, you're the customer, and they need to make it right.. I think 60% off the next pair is fair..

I extend my sympathies Shooey. At this price range errors and mistake should never reach the customer, who should just get magnificent shoos each time. I think we are hearing more complaints like this on the fora, recently. Perhaps these brands are overloaded with customers and they are rushing things to keep up with demand?
How much did you pay for them?
Are they rtw ?
So Pollock the great was right? Vass sucks ?

l think this is as good as it gets with Vass, this is/was the golden period. Things can only go down hill from here. My gut feeling is that Vass has peaked in quality and they are on the verge of slipping down a slippery slope. l feel Style Forum will contribute towards the decline of Vass quality. They are becoming far too popular and there are not the skilled craftsmen to cope, something has to give.
l'm going to email Tom and explain my concerns regarding Vass. l'm going to kindly ask him to stop selling discounted Vass to Style Forum people, none of these people deserve it. The Vass brand has been bastardized by the cheapness mentality of Style Forum i-gents. Makes my blood boil what these guys are doing.

Alot of these Vass i-gents are mangy dogs dressed up in suits.

The streaking near the welt that you complain of is, I am pretty sure, just a bit of excess polish. I have the same thing occur on my shoos if I am not careful. I suspect a touch of suitable solvent (I like vodka for the purpose) and a little vigorous rubbing should eliminate the streaking.
