Great stuff. I recently bought a sweatshirt - first time in years for me too. I have a quilted Baracuta in a sort of herringbone but it always feels a bit Michelin man on me - yours seems to sit much better.

Down at the seafront today...
Sunny day, blue skies
Navy colour Armor Lux Port Manech Fisherman smock
Light Gray Uniqlo Washed Flat Front Chinos (Slim custom tapered, these just break over my shoes, so are quite short, but i turned up the hems by hand just a little, even so...)
Minnetonka Mocassin Tramper boots (with fringing panels cut off at the top of the boot).
College Boy haircut
If i`d have changed anything i might have worn a (McQueen style) silver St. Christophers medallion necklace at the neck area(?)
^ Yes, you make very some very good points, Weejun.
When i think back to the time i was 17 yrs, i was working as a trainee hairdresser (DON`T ask! ) at MichaelJohn, a hairdressing salon in Albermarle Street, W1.
I never ever got clothing or stylistic inspiration from my peers of the same age.
Style ,to me then, was always a much older concept.Much older hairstylists and customers got me into Paul Smith, at the time.Cotton cardigans, heavy cotton chinos, black cotton polonecks, levi 501`s, buck style shoes, Prince of Wales check suits etc. It`s the same sort of stuff that i would still wear now.
It`s like i eventually came full circle with regards to my personal style journey.
I think someone who has a sense of style will always have that, (at whatever age...). I think that style can sometimes perhaps, be much more interesting when observed in people who`ve been around the block, are seasoned, worldly wise and ergo often very cool, and in tune with themselves and their own karma, as a result.
In some ways , i personally feel very youthful (since my early 20`s i`ve regularly gone running etc) but sometimes i feel alot older than my years.I suspect that i may be perceived to be wearing youthful clothing with a been -round -the- block geriatric sensibility(!).There`s the conundrum and dichotomy, i suppose...
I`ve often thought that in some ways i actually look forward to growing older, though, because of the above observations.
P.s. Thank you for the heads up about the advisability of stocking up on Uniqlo items, at the present time...
For sure on the image the company conjures. You have to pick through a lot of incredibly heinous stuff but there are good finds. I have a feeling the same could be true of Uniqlo based on some of what I have read here. I live too far from the only U.S. store to know for certain.
American apparel has US made shirts, that are non logo-ed, and sized to fit people who arent enormous. This alone makes me love the place. Im not sure if I can think of another company that makes t shirts in America anymore.
And I love the soft core porn catalog.
