Haha - I spent a good hour there last night.
The 48 is equivalent to a US 38 I assume - I'm a 38s - or could I take a 46?
I usually go for 50 in euro sizes, I normally take a UK/US 40.
Are any of these similar to the JS jackets Chet?
IMO some of those models should be wearing a size up.
The guy at the bottom, opposite the bird wearing green maybe. It looks similiar, but I can't be 100 per cent. I just can't believe the prices. Yeah, it looks too fitted. 'Slouch' is definitely what they're all about: more European than American I'd say. I was wearing mine out and about in Sheffield yesterday - 5th biggest city in the country? - and you wouldn't see anything like it. I wore it with crepes, Paul Stuart cords, maroon BB sport shirt from the Regent Street boghole. You can kind of shift them around on your shoulders. Maybe best to pop into JS and have a shufti first, Chris.
I wish I could locate some decent pics of the Alan Flusser Slack Jackets that were on ebay a couple of years back.
Were they all right? I've always been a bit suspicious of certain names, and his is one of them. Sounds illogical, I know, but I tend to think of, say, Zegna, in the same way that I think of 'M&S Meal Deal'.
They're definitely a cut above the usual kind of cord jacket you can get. I've a tan one from Press and can't quite approve of the lapels. The functioning cuff buttons are nice, of course, but I tend to do a nebbish Elms act and leave a couple open (for the benefit of any passing younger women who know style when they see it - LOL!).
Yes, that's subtle. The Flusser choices might be a bit too American, dare I say it? I once had a single-button Haspel in mushy-pea green and only wore it out once. The older I get the more conservative in colour choices. I tend to like the blue-grey-green rule: navy; various shades; mid to dark. Wouldn't want to end up looking like that creepy old devil-worshipper in 'Rosemary's Baby'!
Looks better on him - French, tall and good-looking - than moi - English, squat, balding and ugly.
I tried to order from this site a couple of weeks ago to no avail, they seem like the same jackets I got from J. Simons.
I had Google translate this;
http://translate.google.com/translate?prev=hp&hl=en&js=n&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.jkeydge.com%2F1.aspx&sl=fr&tl=en
So Google does French bullshit too. Interesting.
1966, did you receive your jacket yet?
Mate is bringing it over the 16th. Can't wait.
