Re: Mauve cordovan

K, I hate to say this but it they remind me of the kind of DM shoe worn by fat lesbians when not doing duty at Greenham Common.

My London thread, by the by, is dedicated to yourself and the southern boys.

A salesman at Trickers once told me that many of their special make-ups in speciality leathers and off-the-wall colours were made for Spike Lee.

Best be careful with Trickers.  Expensive gear.

Re: Mauve cordovan

For me, it would be easier to wear than a bow tie without a dinner jacket.

Two tone tonik trousers with a touch of purple. Sorted.

I rather hope to see mcarthur in a pair on the 'what footwear' threads.

''T - mauve shell blucher

OTC argyles ''

I take the point that Trickers are 'sensible shoes' but I always liked DM shoes. It is good to get in touch with my inner lesbian.

Re: Mauve cordovan

Very forward thinking of you, Kingstonian.  Trickers, in the misty northern shires, were often worn by the smarter, more well-heeled (if you'll forgive the expression) soul boys, those who fancied nice blazers for dancing in before Winstanley and co. began to compete as to who could play obscure singles with the fastest tempo.
I only remember DM shoes cutting my delicate little trotters to bleedin' ribbons.
