Having been relatively poor for a long, long time I know what it is to make ends meet on a very small budget but even then I had to invest in stage clothing and as a matter of fact the lines between what I wore onstage and on a daily basis became somewhat blurred. I guess that's what it does to you, if you think everything you have or aspire to is that 'Rock 'n' Roll dream', if you like. Fortunately that was a long time ago but being image conscious will always be a part of me still.
However, at some point you have to be honest to yourself and enter the real world and it certainly took a long time for me to get fully adjusted there. One of the better things that came with having a serious job ( and a salary to match that ) was being able to indulge in style adventures, so to speak. I do have it pretty easy I suppose because I live cheap, I have never been interested in cars etc and never been willing to raise a family so I don't have to support anyone but myself.
As stated before it's all about style for me too. To say it's a way of life has always struck me as a little pathetic but I can't deny I'm enjoying all of it immensely

Everybody's style journey is valid.
All we have to do is to nod at each other along the way to be cool.
Do more than that & the growling starts!
One turns it on every so often...
Time to do a new thread - S'cuse.
