Firstly, my  apologies to Moose, if there has been a previous Reyn Spooner thread on the T.I. forum.I was sure there must have been, because Reyn Spooner has certainly been discussed on here before and i also know that Moose has long championed their pullover , Ivy League aloha shirts.


I tried a `Reyn Spooner` search on the T.I. forum but it didn`t come up. 


I got my first Reyn Spooner short sleeve, pullover bd shirt, this time last year.It was a subdued solid green colour with a subtle print, and was from their Tahitian fabric range. (I`ve notice that they aren`t doing this particular print this year, and they don`t seem to be offering their light blue seersucker stripe pullover this year, either).

I really like these shirts.I`ve got another one on the way and plan on buying a couple more from  their Tahitian fabric range (which is 100% soft cotton).

I`ve ordered a navy in the Garden Batik design , for wear with slim tapered, & slightly short Uniqlo washed light grey (lightest stone colour) chinos, and plan on ordering a cream one for use with slim dark blue 501`s.

I think i`ll also get one of these, in red...

The pullover bd shirts themselves are a quality soft cotton and have the third button at the back of the collar.I think they`re great for casual summer wear.They have a small pleat at the back of the collar and have three buttons, set on a placket with a pointed end, at the front of the shirt.

They also have that discreet split seem at the hem of the shirt, at the sides.My Invertere Buffercoat has the same detail and i`ve got a Port Manech Armor Lux smock with the same detail again.Not shirt tails exactly, but just a discreet, small split seem detail , at the hem area on either side.

I find this particular subtle detail attractive to the lines of the shirt.It adds a very subtle interest to the shirt  from side view, and seems to add something to the slouchy and casual line of the shirt itself.(Ditto the Buffercoat and cotton smock).It seems to fit in well with the casual, carefree side of the ivy league style aesthetic.

The colours of these shirts is tastefully subdued, from them using their `reverse print` concept.

It means that when you roll up the sleeves a little, you`ll have an interesting darker shade of contrasting cotton print.


They don`t come cheap, with the International Shipping, but i think they are pretty special pieces.
