Bully for you if you fully understand his "write how you speak" grammar. I'm sure if I had the interest to sit and study his words, I too would probably get the gist of them........ Fortunately I haven't.

Writing in your own accent didn't appear to have done Irvin Welsh any harm, nor Brendan Behan for that matter. Now this 'slicker' carry on... I'd rather have the skin stripped away from my bones than sport such a garment. They are yellow so you can be seen in the sea if you go overboard. So unless the London flood barriers burst and soho dissappears under water, I feel they are best left to the weekend sailor.
