There was a ring thread at BBR ( I just figured out the meaning) 'long ago and far away' and I opined
the best place for jewelry was on a pretty girl next to you. I added my untreated sri lankan blue and padparadsha sapphires in my modest collection would someday do just that with my fiancee.
I was PMed that I had been ripped off, blue sapphires only coming from Kashmir, treated stones were superior and he never heard of a padparadsha.
I was going to buy the lapis lazuli double, chained ovals on EBAY that are coming from Thailand along with MPO and Onyx on 925 silver- modestly priced and decent workmanship.
Subconsciously, the BBR stopped me.
This guy has way more charisma and style than the iGents over on SF:

To formby and the other British members of this site:
The sob story about "our cities being bombed" during WW2 is a self-serving view that the Brits had it tough. Well you didn't. Yes, you got bombed, which was sad, but you had a fucking cakewalk compared to the people living on the continent that got oppressed, enslaved, or just plain exterminated by the tens of millions. You got saved the first time by your "colonies" and the Americans, and the second time by the Americans and the Russians. The third time we'll let you guys handle it yourself. Good luck with that.
Talking about politics on the fora is SO iGent.
^ That's a good point FNB, better to keep it efficient and simple.
"If thou prick us, do we not bleed' and all that other Shakespeare. I'm weary of people who get messages from God to go forth and smite the unrighteous online over regional patois and values expressed in ways far removed from the bard.
