Tom,
You've got a cute kid and great cabinetry. My wife is not allowed to see that post as she will want more of both.
Tom is wearing sneakers outside of sport.
Tom - Great picture of you and your son.
Heikki - Are those shoes similar to the Addidas Samba. I wore Sambas when I played Girls Ball games in my youth (or football for those of you on the other side of the pond). I picked up a pair last year when I decided to coach my son's Girls Ball games team. Great shoes.
Sambas are all right. I wore them when skateboarding a long long time ago. I"m much more partial to Tom's Jack Purcells above. In fact I am wearing the same Sunday outfit. Except my shirt is white (Hanes Beefy) and my Purcells are blue.
^so? i've never claimed over here to dress 100% purist ivy have i?
Heikki, Purist or not your outfits are fantastic. In fact judging from your pictures your personal style is probably the one that comes closest to mine on a regular basis. In fact I get some flack from the wife for almost wearing a uniform of the oxford button down, harrington, sta prest or jeans combo.

Sockless & Commando!
Wine Tassel Weejuns
I'm getting quite a tan already too...
... I wonder if we could squeeze a thread out of the joys of going Commando in Madras? I think it links to socklessness quite well...

Not to dwell too much on this in the picture thread but I agree with Alex. I happen to love Jack Purcells. They are my favorite trainers. That being said, I own about seven other pairs of trainers. Incontinence pants, Spring Court, Vans, Keds etc. They are pretty simple or classic in design (I think Heikki's Incontinence pants above are too) They fit in my conception of summer Ivy. I wear them as stated above. Madras, seersucker, or maybe light weight oxford shirts, soft chinos, and trainer of choice.

Quite colorful today: tan 3btn, single vent jacket (n.s., short, almost a bumfreezer, and half-lined); pink oxford BB 3bd shirt; low waist purple canvas levi's (actually they used to be nantucket red till few years ago; when everybody and his dog here started wearing red-pink summer trousers I dyed them blue, and result was a nice shade of distressed purple...); brown suede belt; hunting green socks; oxblood loafers.
Haircut is a college-boy.
