The first rule of FNB? The Shooman cannot be jealous of other's shoes.. Only, appreciative..
These Barker Black's are sublime.. They fly in the face of the iGentry, which makes them worth the price.. As I said, a real bastard's shoe.. And I am nothing if not a bastard..
The theme music playing in my mind is Highway to Hell, extremely loud..

Pair of Alden longwings for J Crew, pair of RRL straight leg selvage denim..
Made a nice little batch pick-up at my tailor's this morning (got this stuff started back in late February):
Dark blue flannel (not quite navy) SBNL 3pc; side-vents; flapped pockets; light blue-grey lining; no-loops trousers -- pleated and cuffed
Navy blazer -- sort of a very hard/tight flannel; SBNL; side-vents; flapped pockets (no damned patches for me); buttons are gold-rimmed black; light green paisley lining
Camel-hair odd jacket (natural colour); SBNL; side-vents; flapped pockets; mottled brown/cream buttons; brown lining with orange and red stripes
Greenish blue Harris Tweed with rust overcheck odd jacket; SBNL; side-vents; flapped pockets; leather covered buttons (cannot remember the lining colour and the coat is in my sleeping son's closet)
Heavy tweed SB odd-vest with leather covered buttons from the cloth I posted in another thread a month or so ago (a brownish tattersal) -- FNB glossed it "the stimulus vest", if I recall correctly (9937 on this page: http://www.hfwltd.com/bobb.php?b=jgh&c=2&p=1)
Light "tweedy" worsted SB odd-vest in a sort of creamy colour with doubled windowpanes; brown buttons

Several Charvet bespoke ties. Their silks are incomparable in quality and in uniqueness; no other brand suprasses them in these categories.
Checked the Harris Tweed odd-jacket this morning -- it has the same green paisley lining as the blazer.
Not the smartest timing on my part getting all this made with the heat of summer right around the corner. If I am lucky, maybe the weather will hold for the next week and I can wear them all once before the Fall.
