Well, as you are probably aware of, Lewis, I use just about every colour available ( depending on my mood and the occasion of course ) although my aim would be to keep things relatively understated. The fun aspect is an important one I think though, there's enough misery in this world as it is wink

I have a very pale and washed-out complexion which sadly precludes too many bright colours. What does always cheer me up is yellow - most days I've been wearing my watch on a navy and yellow striped NATO strap, and I have an ancient Helly Hansen oilskin on the back seat of the car for the downpours. Yellow socks are always a nice touch too.

not a peacocky-type, me but i like to ad a bit of bright colouts revery now and then. for some reason i tend to end up towards the red variety, red/navy madras or red gingham as fir shirts, red g 9 etc. i also like to dabble with yellows a bit but for some reason i basically never go green. i don't own any green trousers or shirts with green as main colour etc. however, occasionally i wear an olive green crewneck (that being not a bright color per se) combined with a bright plaid or madras shirt.

Preferably plain shirts, followed by very small checks and the quieter stripes. I like larger checks, but they rarely get worn - I don't think they're the best choice for someone with a smaller frame.

If I feel like a bright shirt, I'll haul out one of the Hawaiian ones.

i like your "in" list.

7 inch bottoms are also in.
casual trousers rolled up are also in.
navy fisherman's jackets too.

socks are definitely out in the ivy summer.
