I was a "Commoner" at Oxford (as opposed to a "Scholar" or an "Exhibitioner").
An Exhbitioner, for those not in know, is the holder of a sort of lower-grade scholarship; it is definitely not the same thing as an "exhibitionist"...although they are not mutually exclusive: An Exhibitioner could be an exhibitionist although detection as an exhibitionist (in the criminal sense of the word) might cost him his exhibition.

There are multiple posts on that theme all the way through. I even mentioned the Gardening site the day before yesterday I think. Porn forums provided the biggest laughs - There ain't no snob like a sex snob. What would you call those people, iF*ckers ?
... Then again the hanging basket wars elsewhere were jolly funny too...
