Note the copy on the Carnet label: World's best cloth. In reality, it's World's Best Cloth with repeating oil stains every 12 inches, in nice circles, like a small pizza pie. We will never know if the stains originated in England or Como. This cloth is certainly from the same English mill as the one that makes Smith's Solaro (TM). I couldn't get Smith to reveal the mill, and they think they own the rights to the brand name, but weren't sure.

I think mohair has a cheap look. I also know that my tailor doesn't hold it in high regard.
