Re: Coiled Pleasures?

Looking at Ole Pat's blog today, he's more and more including his fevered political views about Obama. Relax, Pat, he can't fuck up worse than the outgoing guy (nor the elderly fool the GOP ran against him - where are they now?). I guess Horace and Uncle are kinda right about blogs being just unedited jabber from lunatics.

Maybe I should start my own...

How about "Boys and Button Downs"...

Thoughts?

^ It's all very circular now. Bloggers blogging to bloggers, all propping each other up.

Re: Coiled Pleasures?

^^ Yeah. Bullshit.

Our only interest over here in The Leader Of The Free World is either if there's a sex scandal or on betting on when some Good Ol' Boy puts a bullet in him.

It's been that way for years.

Wish our lot shagged about more & then got topped...  What are any of these people actually for except to entertain us with their scandals & wars?

Eh?

Re: Coiled Pleasures?

I have to answer to Ye Editor and Publisher on this blog, and they want more politics. So politics they shall get.

I stake out a contrary position partially because I believe it but mostly because it's more fun. Hence the Goldwater button.

Nobody reads the dumb thing anyway — except you guys, which I appreciate.

Mostly I find blogging to be tedious. It was fun at first, but it's ultimately silly. Lots of self-imposed pressure to post, as if there's an anxious readership panting for the next item.

We have a vacant slot on the Op-Ed now and I will be cranking out a couple of more thoughtful, less blogful pieces over our Xmas break to see if Ye Ed and Pub will bite.

Re: Coiled Pleasures?

Make like Chevsmold & have me on board?

No payment required.

Seriously.

I have something on the Fairisle which I can't find a home for.

Bill it as 'Feverish Tossings From The Bed Of The English Patient' and make me an iStar?

Please?

Didn't I used to write for Mr. Longwing too?

Was that real?

I wouldn't know a blog from a hunk of Polish sausage.  But I dig Patrick.
