That is such a cool photo, I remember when you put it on before I had to experiment with with a matelot striped shirt, blazer and chinos myself. I like the old dude in the background with the beret as well!
Welcome, friend Beatnik. A refreshing change of style. Now where have I seen that Brando snap before?
No, before that. It was in John's. Jeff showed it me.
Is it my imagination or is there a 'Bob Marley' crepe in John's?
I noticed the Bob Marley playboys too - apparently they are Original Playboys that got rebranded and John got them.....
Now that really is interesting. Thanks, Fred. I've seen them, pondered them a bit, and wondered...
I'm not ashamed to say that I really like the look of these:

I was bought a pair as a present and my initial scepticism over "Topman" was soon kicked into touch. That said, I've had to mail them back to get an exchange for a larger size. I take a UK 9 1/2 so my girlfriend bought me a size 10. They were absolutely tiny and I could hardly get my feet into them. I'm hoping an 11 will do the trick.

Anyone know anything more about 'Bob Marley'? (No tasteless rasta jokes, please). Fred?
They are regular Original Playboys made for some retailer or such and John got hold of them - nothing different about them other than the "bob Marley" on the inside. More like odd seconds in that respect than anything of note.... I think he only had them in a couple of sizes - last Autumn. I don't think he was planning to re-order anything from OP, Sanders being better quality....
Somebody's flogging a pair of RJ Colt Playboys on UK ebay at the moment. Is it someone here?
Looks like a good deal for the UK size 8 1/2s. They look pretty much identical to the GBX playboys.
Spotted a pair of sebago crepe soled desert boot type chukkas. 3 eyelets ! anyone else seen them
I quite liked them.
