Alden Plain Toe Blucher -- No. 8, Ravello or Cigar?

Alden Shop stocks the plain toe blucher in all 3 of these colors.  I own several Aldens in No. 8 and a couple in black (including the Brooks LHS).  I'm thinking of picking up a pair of the plain toe bluchers in one of the 3 colors listed above.  Since I have several pairs in No. 8 already, I am leaning toward Ravello, but am interested in opinions on the Board about the choices.

Thanks Lewis

Lewis old chum,

I applaud your fine taste in shoes.  In hopes of being helpful, I thought I might direct you to do a search over at AAAC.  If you search for the words ravello or cigar by a certain poster named "Harris" (no relation, I presume?), you will find that he asked the same question, including a link to the same page as your link.  I would link to his posts, but I think such is a no-no.  Hope I have been of help!

I do believe you will get very informed (dare I say better) opinions here.  Carry on.

Cheers,
Trip

A good writer, but a writer of fiction.

I'm a fan. He gave good 'Trad'.

Lewis,

No. 8 is classic, and it's hard for one to argue with that, is it not?  Have you seen the goods at Alden of Carmel or Shoe Mart?  You might want to compare.  If I were to get something other than No. 8, I'd go with the cigar.
