Gentlemen, we live in a great big world!
The way to find all the goodies is to go into all the links.
The 'Van Jacket' company, Est 1948, is a major player over there. Cool stuff.
'Take Ivy' is photos of Princeton Boys in '65.
'Days of Ivy' & the 'Ivy Illustrated' books also look cool - More details as we know them.
ALL of this comes from the man who knows - Not me. To him I give my very heartfelt thanks for this eye-opener into global Ivy.
Miles.
The first link is a little creepy. I don't know, a lot of it's weird.

Not very nice: There is Preppy Porn out East - Young Ladies in the rudey-nudey stripped down to their Burlingtons & Bass.
... And the focus is on the shoos.
Ahhhhh well...
Edit: FNB's choice on if a link is wise. Those girls do have lovely Weejuns. It's all about the clothes...
The bare ladies wearing saddle-shoes look very odd. It's a big shoe to wear when you're naked...

On a nicer note:
Redwings & Baracuta G9s are HUGE out East along with Bass & Press.
The Van Jacket Inc. company is a big, big player out there. Also called Van Jac. They've been going since '48.
There is also a cool shop called The Poppy.
Van Jac doesn't seem to favour cuffs & they wear their 3 btns in the 3 btn style, not the earlier (& later) 3 to 2.
Lots of the 'Trad' orthodoxy is OPH. Ivy had much more leeway back in the day. Or is it leaway?
Interesting background stuff.
Ivy for everyone!
Miles.
phew!
I thought there was going to be something dirty on the other end of those links.
I wonder if there isnt an Archie Comix contest out there?
Anyone read/translate Japanese? What the deuces is the first link saying?
The Dog-headed Trad man really bothers me -
The break on his trousers is all wrong...
Woof!
Thanks for all this info. I'm a little confused as to how to access the Princeton Boys of '65 photo link? Any help would be appreciated.
For Mr. steedappeal (& many thanks, belatedly, for the catalogue & business card) -

It being Princeton in '65 is just my guesswork. I am unfamiliar with their campus, I only really know Harvard. I'm just going by the chap wearing the big 'P' on his sweater. On a Japanese webside the number '1965' appears next to the book along with a lot of text which, alas, I can't read. '65 looks about right when you consider the boy's hair, I think. One of the other chaps wears a 1962 or 1963 sweater (hard to see clearly) in another shot.
IvyGuy will know. I've been spamming the poor guy a lot (the curse of enthusiasm again!) and 'Take Ivy' was the subject of one of my many questions to him.
The book looks really interesting, and again credit for its discovery must go to 'The Man Who Knows', not me.
(TMWK is a much bigger internet player than me & has a well deserved reputation out there. Linking his name to mine would be great for my rep., but I can't think it would add much to his!)
An update from The Man Who Knows (ie, not me) -
The 'Take Ivy' book is out of print & highly sought after in Japan.
One MB has a poll to try to get the publishers to reissue it.
Everybody wants a copy!
