^ Sounds good to me!
Plain can be very interesting.
Grey marl Hanes Beefy pocket T
Ripped fraying navy flat front shorts
Cotton duck Paraboot bucks
(Jim "that's all" commando styley)
Plain white Fruit of the Loom t - as featured in the window at 2 Russell Street - with dark denim (Bean) and sand desert boots. Plain as anything.

Hottest day of the year so far?
Clean plain white t and Bean Madras plain-fronted shorts. Nothing more.
Fading not bleeding half-sleeve with Bill's best-selling off-white shorts.
Anthony Allan seersucker jacket
Pale blue USA made Brooks shirt with sensibly spread collar
Neatly tapered off white Levis chinos
Chocolate brown Garrett desert boots
After many hot days of wearing OCBDs, half-rolled sleeves (saw John Simons do it once, looked just right) I opted to try to go even simpler than that.
White t-shirt (good weight cotton, decent collar)
Navy flat front shorts (heavily worn in, hit above the knee)
Brown topsiders (well worn)
It's a good test of fit, I guess. Too big and long and I'll look like a Dad at a BBQ, too small and it will all look really camp.
The most basic clothes I've thrown on in years, but with a fresh short McQueen-esque haircut and wayfarers, it still worked well in my opinion; the balance, the fit was right for me and it's nice that is so simple.

Was oblivious when I grabbed it this morning but it's strictly old stuff today.
Light and breezy all cotton 1950s Pilgrim loop collar shirt, blue/ off white / brown check.
Ditto 1950s high rise buckle back pants, stone, no break.
And those mystery Clark's "desert bucks", made in England.
Forgot to mention the brown bits, which are more recent.
- Grown out crop gone curly a la Paul Newman
- 1993 Ralph Lauren brown suede 1 1/4" belt made in USA
- Last year's all brown polarized Persol 2931S
Looks like it's '50s loop collar shirt day..
Eastern Arts madras shirt - its bleeding days are long behind it (The Thin Repp sent me this a while back), untucked
Fruit of the Loom white T
slim lightweight H&M khakis, rolled
old brown Hawkshead driving mocs (my house slippers...)
