Re: Ivy League style for today

A look I'm beginning to favour on breezier days is: madras half sleeve, topped with a buttoned cardigan.  I tuck the shirt into the shorts - Bill's - and wear even the bottom buttoned fastened; unlike Queen Victoria's boy.  Then Docksides, weejuns or white bucks.  This morning, gold Bruce for Palmer wool and alpaca over Neil Martin madras; very subtle shadings on the shirt.  I have never worn my cardigans unfastened or with the bottom button undone.

Re: Ivy League style for today

white canvas tennis shoes, dusty khaki Meyer flat-fronts, white Hanes T, fairly subdued 1960s (?) Diamond Head shirt with a 30s-40s pattern - SS Lurline, outrigger canoes, Hawaiian maidens, grass huts, Diamond Head, plenty foliage, the whole shebang.

Yearning for those simpler times when iGents of yore could don a pair of canvas tennis shoes, kapok slacks and an Aloha shirt wink...

Re: Ivy League style for today

Looked a bit cool out this morning, so went for heavier outfit, but it's pretty warm now!
Anyway, recently picked up a few items in Gap, all from the 1969 range, which are a great fit and finish.

1969 Freemont sand chino
1969 Chambrey shirt with cat eye buttons
Tretorn T56 in chalk - sockless.

Re: Ivy League style for today

Today, I look like a college boy dropping out circa - well, 1966.

- Outgrown curly crop. Unshaven.
- White Beefy T.
- Some old Corbin lined patch madras pants ripped into shorts, fraying.
- Indian Kolhapuri Chappal hippie slippers.
