Slight Woody Allen vibe: blue pp Makers, navy Shetland crew neck, off-white chinos, saddle bucks.
on a more colourful tip today
blue bb makers
dark red/ maroon shetland crewneck
old, rather faded h&m jeans
grey falke socks
brown nettleton bluchers
beige aquascutum mac (late sixties-ish)
bottle green / black / white striped college-ish scarf
nasty look on my sweet urchin face
Nasty, h? You're positively angelic, you know you are.
The Shaggy Dog Harpo so kindly pointed me towards is slightly overdue; possibly because of Thanksgiving. Should it not need handwashing, I may well put it on with an Irish-made Tattersal and chinos to nip out in. I fancy fried chicken and dumplings from 'Roots'.
Hand washing! Only thing you can do with a Shetland or any other wool...
Should've seen the cashmere scarf my girl put in the machine!
Ah, well - that's wives for you. You know we love you.
Nice swap Moose, those Florsheims look great! Do post a photo of them Portage beefrolls too.
It has to be done carefully, with the right amount of liquid and the water at just the right temperature. Then the rinsing, spinning and drying. Worthwhile, though, to take the time and trouble.
Moose-
Nice shoes.

sure, you can ruin something with hand washing, too, especially with hot water...
I prefer to do all my washing and ironing (not too much ) myself, you don't want to be angry with a beloved person for doing something that they did with the best intentions...
me today:
navy lambswool v-neck sweater, blue and white Brooks OCBD, white shirt, blue jeans, black socks, brown desert boots, brown suede Harrington...
today: copy / paste clothing

I passed a group of pensioners yesterday, quite a few of the men were wearing some sporty shirt under a zipped cardigan.
Me too.
Today I'm in yet another zip cardy, a beige fluffy merino Smedley, with a grey cashmere Uniqlo crewneck underneath. Both have holes. Below the belt it's all reproductions bought long ago - faded Levi's 1944s and dirty 1960s Incontinence pants Gazelles.
I'm looking at two pairs of deep, stunning old American shoes though, freshly polished.
Yesterday:
white Land's End T-Shirt
dark brown thin Zara silk/wool sweater
dark brown Velvet sports jacket (darted, waist suppression, but unpadded shoulders and 3 to 2 roll) with patch pockets
dark green 5 pocket cords ("Bugatti" - inexpensive and superbly made) with slight to no break
dark brown/grey Burlington Argyle socks
tan Sebago "Cambridge" Pennyloafers
olive/orange Tartan Barbour scarf
camel Barbour short Duffle coat
Today:
dark yellow Poloshirt longsleeve ("Ragman")
H&M cardigan brown witch elbow patches
dark green 5 pocket cords
light orange woven Land's End belt
dark brown Burlington Argyle socks
dark brown Sebago Fairhaven boots
olive/orange Tartan Barbour scarf
camel Barbour short Duffle coat
White Sunspel underwear and T-shirt, not that it's any of your business
Wigwam socks
Dry 1947 501 repros
Cheap as chips second-hand blue RRL sweatshirt
Common People playboys, holding up nicely touch wood
Blue Makers OCBD with the points out and unbuttoned
Silver-grey Shaggy Dog from farrago - lovely
Levis chinos
Blanket-lined olive Burberrys' fly-fronted (just in case)
Charcoal Falke socks
Chocolate brown Garrett desert boots
White FOTL boxers

^ That silver-grey color goes well with jeans, corduroys, and chinos of various shades and colors.
