I love all the mix and influences in the uk it's great. I have a friend who is indo/scot but the scot connection was actually formed out in india during the 19th century. Really cool stuff
I think giz meant as good as.
Sonofstan I was with the Irish Army Rangers as a liaison officer so funnily enough I did know that. The expression upon hearing of my family lineage was "In Ireland you would be regarded as royalty". The gentleman who told me that also proudly told me his grandfather was involved in Michael Collin's ambush. Best assignment I can say I ever had and wasn't in Eire.
I still think I'd beat you in an arm wrestle though GIZ.
As I have four spinal injuries, including the brain stem, a five year old girl can beat me in an arm wrestle. The question is, One For Bop, can you beat a five year old girl in an arm wrestle? :0P
He can and he frequently does.
Don't pile with the IS sweetie offerers.

Touche. My posts are being deleted over there now. And they weren't even derogatory.
Muffy answered the question herself - and she also managed through in a few lines about her family lineage too:
Addendum, in response to some comments (which are great, and the debate is appreciated): Genealogy doesn't bestow credentials, but can inform perspectives. Bringing it up aggressively and competitively is just as disingenuous as hiding it or being deliberately coy when it is relevant to a topic at hand. The background presented here is one direct influence on this blog, and so may be of interest (and even clarifying) to at least some people reading this.
The question was: Which city is preppier - Cambridge or Boston. My reply would be, "Who cares. I'm Trad". :0)
Sorry to hear about your injuries GIZ doesn't sound like much fun.
I time how long he takes to delete mine. I think that last one was a record. Oh well, I really should find some way of leading a more fulfilling life, maybe I'll start a lifestyle blog. The Wayward WASP?
oooo. i dont like where this is going

I'm hearing you 4F Hepcat. My advice, ask your doctor which pain management specialist they would send their wife/partner/husband to or he would use,. You get good, bad, indifferent and fucking awful days. My specialist saved my life because of his and his staff's knowledge of pain. I find listening to the 1920s and 30s Blues cathartic when the pain is awful and of course Coltrane, Parker and Davis makes me mellow out and sleep easier.
I also take morphine which shows in some of my comments.
